In the current political and economic situation no one is spared. Our American friends proved, however, that political instability is not limited to third world countries only!

Farming in South Africa is, however, a different kettle of fish and to be relevant in this climate, remains a challenge.

The 2017 financial year was a year of expansion for JD Implemente.

With the support of Senwes, the company changed its logo and trademark to an abbreviated (and very modern) version - JDI. The new logo in green and gold is symbolic - not only for our John Deere products, but also for the area.

The new image of the company is also supported by the introduction of the new JDI website. The new website is an excellent platform from which to market the company, but also an easy way for customers to obtain access to JDI's information and products. Take a look at the collection of second hand goods.

It is also a privilege for JDI to be taking over the George area from Agrico as from 1 August 2017, when JDI will be the official John Deere agent for this area. We are in the process of establishing the branch and making it a part of the JDI-family.

While many areas in the farming community were impacted by the drought, JDI is grateful to be receiving reports of good rain and favourable farming conditions from most of the JDI-areas.

JDI is also looking forward to the completion of the new Bredasdorp workshop. This project, which was managed by Johan le Roux from Senwes, is an indication of JDI's commitment to the area. The workshop promises to address many of the frustrations experienced by the branch.

We are also looking forward to a few future projects - the new Precision wagon and the smaller John Deere sprayer, to name but a few (there are, of course, a few which we are not mentioning).

The year ahead is not without challenges, but JDI is excited about the future of this company and South African farmers.
